The support provided by at home complex care provider Libertatem Healthcare has been praised by the Welsh regulator.
Finding the care provided by Libertatem ‘good’ in all areas, inspectors from Care Inspectorate Wales said that people ‘experience good well-being’ and were ‘enabled to do things that matter to them’.
In the final report, published earlier this month, CIW noted: “People are encouraged to be as independent as possible and lead active, busy and fulfilled lives with dedicated and driven care staff who know them well.
“People have progressed in their independence in the service, feeling happy, safe and comfortable. People are provided with good care and support. They are involved with the production of their personal plans and reviews and have a big input in their content. Professionals hold the service in high regard.”
The people supported by Libertatem in Wales live, inspectors found, ‘healthily and safely with control over their lives’.
There was praise too for the ‘good camaraderie’ between people and their care team. Those supported by Libertatem told inspectors how much they valued and appreciated their care team with one person saying ‘they are brilliant’.
The team, inspectors found, are supporting people to ‘live their best lives and make their bucket lists become realities’.
Vicky Jones, Registered Manager for Libertatem in Wales, said: “We strive to provide person-centred care and support for everyone we support, with a focus on working collaboratively alongside people to achieve their personal goals.”
Libertatem Healthcare provides complex care for children and adults in their own homes, supporting people with a range of care needs including brain and spinal injury, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
