Libertatem Healthcare are seeking to recruit a rehabilitation assistant to support a young adult (female) who sustained a brain injury. Our client is independent with personal care, the rehabilitation assistants main support role is to support our client with her executive functioning.
Your role is to enable our client to achieve the highest level of independence in everyday functional tasks, and to support active participation in goal-directed rehabilitation interventions.
This will include supporting the client in functional daily living activities, supporting with organisation, and planning, and supporting her communication needs, both spoken and written.
She needs help to draw up realistic plans and schedules, prompts to record and check information, and help to get things done.
Thinking supports are also needed, including support to link information together to make sound decisions and to solve problems.
Her rehabilitation is currently co-ordinated by a case manager with input from a multi-disciplinary team to address on-going physical, cognitive, and linguistic processing difficulties.
Hours:
Two shifts per week (possibly more in the future):
Weekday shift from 9am to 7pm
Weekend shift from 10 am to 7pm
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
